The 11th International Conference of the International Federation for High-Rise Structures on Extreme Engineering is "Qualified for 13 PDUs by PEB"
Engineering projects around the globe are getting more and more ambitious as major cities jostle to be known for signature landmark buildings and overcoming impossible engineering feats. Today, structures compete to dwarf anything that has come before. Records are broken, design and technical boundaries are challenged; and new concepts on liveability and sustainability have also emerged in the race for space. Plans beyond imagination are on the drawing board for projects so huge – not only in scale but in their implications for society. Some examples include 'Tunnelling under the Alps', 'Bridging the Bering Strait', 'Widening the Panama Canal', ‘Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge’, the 'Burj Khalifa’ and the “Shanghai Tower”. Soon, we will be constructing beyond heights of 1000m, very long span bridges, very deep underground tunnels under the sea and structures in previously inhabitable spaces. We welcome research and case studies on these and many more exciting Extreme Engineering projects.
We welcome researchers, architects, planners, builders, constructors, (consulting and structural) engineers, developers, contractors, safety and security experts, financiers, academia, suppliers and all professionals involved in the field of extreme engineering to meet in Singapore at the International Conference on 28-30 August 2019. Singapore is where the world meets and where passion is made possible.

Abstracts (about 300-400 words with keywords) are invited to be submitted in order to be considered for inclusion in the Conference Proceeding and for oral presentation at the Conference. The Conference Proceeding is an official publication and will bear an ISBN number.
All abstracts received are reviewed for acceptance. Accepted texts are also peer reviewed for the Conference Award Schemes. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org directly for further assistance about abstract or paper submission, or further details about the conference venue, travel and accommodation, and other matters pertaining to IFHS2019.
Please note that it is part of the requirements of submission that the author or one of the co-authors will attend the Conference and present the paper. Papers accepted for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings will have to be registered with a text-inclusion fee (TIF) of SGD450 per paper. All registered participants will receive a copy of the conference proceedings in electronic format. The Conference Organisers hold the copyrights of all papers published in the Proceedings, which will carry an ISBN reference.
