43rd Our World in Concrete and Structures (2018)
29 - 31 Aug 2018 Goodwood Park Hotel, Singapore
On 29-31 August 2018, OWICS will celebrate its 43rd successive year. The conference will be dedicated to Mr Mark Sarkisian, Partner, Skidmore, Owings and Merrill LLP, in recognition and appreciation of his significant contribution and support towards the conference over the last decade. During the span of his eminent career, Mark has developed innovative structural solutions for more than 100 international building projects, including some of the world’s tallest buildings ever constructed. Mark is a world-renowned leader in the design of high performance seismic and environmentally responsible structural systems. Mark will deliver the OWICS 2018 Conference Lecture.
This year’s conference is themed: “A Smart and Sustainable World in Concrete and Structures” and will feature at least 10 prominent renown professors and professionals, many of whom have supported OWICS for over 15 years like Franco Mola, Italy; Shoji Ikeda and N Otsuki, Japan; Yogesh Chhabra, Willie Kay and Kiat-Huat Seow, Singapore.
The OW18 Conference will continue the ‘Highly Commendable Paper' Awards sponsored by the Supporting Organisations and the Industry.
We cordially invite you to join us in this celebration with a good, important and interesting paper and to share and exchange your experience in anything and everything about concrete and structures.
