The present study has been taken up for evaluating the different grades
of concrete. Emphasis has been given to the strength and deformation properties of
reinforced concrete beams. This paper presents the results of an experimental
investigation carried out on four reinforced concrete beams, 150 mm ??100 mm ?
1200 mm in size. The beams were tested under one-third point loading. The study
parameters include first crack load and ultimate load. The beams show considerable
enhancement in flexural strength. The interpretation of the load versus load-pointdisplacement plot that results from such a test, however, is a subject of varying
